Matt travels around the country to observe, instruct and evaluate Minor League Baseball umpires employed by the Professional Baseball Umpire Corp. He joined the PBUC staff on a part-time basis in June 2009 and achieved full-time status in March 2010.

A native of Whitehouse Station, N.J., Matt umpired in the New York-Penn, South Atlantic, Carolina, Eastern, International and Arizona Fall leagues. He also umpired part-time in the Major Leagues during his career.

The Jupiter, Fla., resident holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science/History from Albright College in Reading, Pa and a Master of Science Degree in Negotiation and Dispute Resolution from Creighton University in Omaha, NE.
